Shruti Raina

Shruti is the complex disputes & international arbitration partner at the Law Offices of Panag & Babu and is based out of the firm’s New Delhi office. Shruti comes from a background of international commercial arbitration with significant expertise in infrastructure and energy arbitration. She has represented clients in arbitrations under the ICC and SIAC Rules, as well as ad hoc arbitrations. In the Indian context, she has acted on behalf of India’s leading conglomerates in domestic arbitrations (including those under the ICA and DIAC Rules).

Her practice has evolved into the full range of dispute resolution with an emphasis on contractual and corporate liability. Appearing before a wide variety of jurisdictions (including Delhi, Bombay and Madras), Shruti has gained the expertise to be able to appropriately navigate regulatory action response tailored to the relevant jurisdiction. As part of her regulatory practice, she frequently advises industry leaders on pharmaceutical pricing, product regulation and anti-trust enforcement and represents them in proceedings challenging regulatory actions. Shruti regularly handles disputes arising from hostile employee terminations and advises on appropriate business strategy for the end-to-end management of corporate executive misconduct.

She advises and appears for clients in criminal proceedings arising from violations of anti-money laundering and corruption prevention regulations. With a mixed background in criminal and civil litigation, Shruti is able to provide strategic advice which touches upon both to arrive at the desired outcome. This background also allows her to routinely advise on/assist with corporate crisis management for her clients who find themselves in the crosshairs of enforcement actions in a manner which mitigates civil/ criminal liability and minimizes their risk profile.
